In April 2017 Laura made contact with me via my website. She got married on June 2nd in a traditional Victorian public house in London. The venue in question was The Londesborough in Stoke Newington. This family run pub has some glorious reviews and these pics don't disappoint. She wanted our 'Rebecca bunting to decorate this urban venue and so we quickly set about making her bespoke lengths of 'Rebecca' to suit the venue dimensions. She has very kindly shared some photos from her photographer Joanna Bongard - www.joannabongard.com and we're super thrilled to see them.
We were asked to join the troops at St Donats Arts Centre last year as they opened the doors for an Open Day to give people an idea of how the venue could look for their wedding day. The glass room at the Arts Centre is a vast, open space with grand views of the sea across the grounds of the venue. It really is an impressive space. We popped some neutral bunting up that day and Rhiannon and David having already booked their wedding day there popped along that day to see what was on offer. They loved the idea of bunting and some fairy lights in the Tythe Barn which we were pleased to help them with on their wedding day 1st April 2017. They added some sweet jars and our log slices too. Town and Country's have a number of hotels in prime spots and the Coed-y-Mwstwr certainly doesn't disappoint. A long winding single lane sweeps you up into woodlands and to a peaceful spot full of enchantment. This was my first ever 'gig' at this hotel but I have been a guest at a wedding there before and had a cracking time.
As a supplier, my experiences of the wedding team have been exceedingly good. They have been noticeably prompt to respond and helpful. On the day of arrival, all the staff were friendly and accommodating and they left me in peace to knuckle down and get the job done. The hotel provides the chair covers and my shabby, rustic handmade hessian sashes were tied to compliment the rustic theme the bride had chosen. Finishing up I was greeted by the beautiful 'bride to be' who impressively already had her hair immaculately in place. She seemed pleased with our work which is all we can ever hope for.
Helloooooooo and welcome to our new website www.dearflorence.com and new blog. Good to get a fresh look, get some of our pics on there for you to see and most importantly this site is mobile compatible. Let us know what you think and share it with anyone you think may like to see it. I've been looking at it for a couple of months now so I'm sure I've probably overlooked a few minor typo's so give me a nudge if you see one. Well, I'm going to celebrate with a (-nother) glass of wine and say 'Cheers, to 2017 wedding season'.
